What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are titanium or ceramic posts that are placed within a patients jawbone, to act as the new roots of a tooth. The implants then anchor in your new set of teeth (restorations).
Why Would You Need Them?
If you have lost a tooth or multiple teeth, dental implants are the securest way to replace them, giving you your smile back (aesthetically), while also giving you the exact same function as normal teeth.
Is Surgery Painful?
In short no. When placing the implants we will numb the placement site and we will carefully place the implants with minimal discomfort. If you are a nervous patient, IV sedation is on offer to make the procedure fly by.
